What is it? The Responsible Printing Initiative ( RPI ) is an SGA/Information Technology cooperative designed to fairly distribute printing resources. Why implement this policy?
To reduce waste and eliminate abuse: - 25% (2 million print pages) are thrown away annually
- 3% of lab clients print 25% of the annual total (2 million copies)
How does this affect me?
- You will receive a per semester allotment of 500 pages – unused pages roll-over to the next semester and are not refundable.
- Additional pages can be purchased in 500 page increments for a non-refundable fee of $25.00 .
- Emergency allocations will be available (see Lab Attendant or visit the IT Helpdesk in room 124 of the Administration Building.
How do I get more paper?
Bring your receipt from the Bursar to the IT Helpdesk in the Administration Building , Room 124. Receipts are obtained from the Bursar's Cashier window on the first floor of Wilder Tower. The Bursar window is open 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Friday. You may also visit eBursar to pay online. After logging into the site with your UUID, choose Make a Payment and select Pay for Printing. Who pays for the 500 pages I receive each semester?
Printing supplies are funded through the Technology Access Fee (TAF) paid by students. Which labs are affected by this?
All student computing labs, including those not requiring a TigerLAN login. Where can I find more information about the Responsible Printing?
