Luminis Content Management Suite (LCMS)The University's plan to incorporate the new Luminis® Content Management Suite (LCMS) for U of M web sites is underway. Training sessions for new clients of the LCMS system are being given as the need arises. Currently, the only requirement for users of the system is to complete a half day training session of basic training entitled "Site Studio User Guide". To request training information you may submit an LCMS Training Request or contact Web Services for further information. LCMS Provides: - U of M Brand Standards, Guidelines for U of M Web Sites, U of M Important Notice, U of M web browser standard, Official U of M colors, fonts, logos / verbages, etc,
- Search tool incorporating use of the University Search Engine and the University White Pages directory search tool for individual web sites and / or university searches,
- "Quick Links" drop-down menu component (optional),
- Search engine "friendly" web pages,
- "Contact us" information page required for responsible web site contact party / person(s),
- "Last updated:" requirement; page modification timestamp,
- Hyperlink to University resources available:
- Cross-browser / cross-platform testing,
- Text-only version hyperlink incorporates Betsie web page parser,
- Print version incorporates page items selection for print only versioning,
- Site map page (optional).

- ADA Section 508 - Accessibility encouraged and enforced where possible,
- WebXACT formerly known as Bobbie, is a free online service that lets you test single pages of web content for quality, accessibility, and privacy issues,
- Webthing's Site Valet does markup validation, link checking, as well as accessibility checking.

- Information Technology Division (ITD) hosted,
- individually hosted by department, division, etc,
- Incorporates organizational hyperlinking,
- Incorporates optional LCMS workflow.
